Art is, in one way or the other, a part of everyone’s life. This course provides the fundamental principles for Art Appreciation. The course explains visual arts concepts and vocabulary. The course discusses the genres and styles from various artists, cultures and times, and examines the audience participation level. This course encourages students to use visual arts to express and present ideas and feelings and to communicate for a specific purpose.
Note: This course is not designed for ELL (English Language Learners) students. ELL students may enroll in this course ONLY if they have adequate mentor support at their home school and are able to fulfill all course requirements.
