What is Regional Accreditation?
Red Comet is accredited by Cognia (formerly AdvancED), the unified successor to several historic regional accrediting bodies including the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC), the North Central Association (NCA), and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS CASI).
STATE & PROGRAM APPROVALS
- Texas: Approved as a TEFA-participating private school by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (Texas Education Freedom Accounts program), 2026–27 school year.
- Arkansas: Approved provider for the Arkansas Education Freedom Account (EFA) program.
- Washington: Approved as a Multi-District Online Course Provider and an Online School Program Provider through OSPI.
- California: Courses meet UC a-g requirements.
- Idaho: State-approved online provider.
- NCAA: Approved courses for high school athletes.
