Course Overview:

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the major concepts of biological sciences and the characteristics of life. The course is designed to engage students in understanding the major processes of cells including cell structure, growth, and reproduction. The course provides the student with an in-depth understanding of genetics and heredity as well as the role it plays in the overall function and continued growth of a population. Other topics include ecology and biodiversity. This course does not include the laboratory component.
