Physical Education Semester 1

Course Overview:
Physical activity is important for a number of different reasons. It is important for burning calories, for the function of the lymphatic system, and a great many others. It also helps boost mental health. This course helps you learn more about your body, and how it works, while allowing you to exercise a greater degree of control over your movements. You learn the techniques of playing various sports and understand how to master the game. The course teaches you the safety rules associated with several activities. You learn about offensive and defensive strategies and understand the significance of movement and performance. You will be provided an opportunity to explore activities in your local environment. The course explores various exercises to strengthen your muscles and prolong endurance.
Note: This course is not designed for ELL (English Language Learners) students. ELL students may enroll in this course ONLY if they have adequate mentor support at their home school and are able to fulfill all course requirements.
