Comprehensive Earth & Space Science

This course explains the basics of earth and space science, from the discoveries of the properties of the universe and its components to today’s burning issues regarding climate changes. It incorporates information on the Big Bang theory, the stars, earth systems and their interactions as well as the theories on the origins of life on earth. Students learn about geologic time and study about the earth’s resources. This course explains the relevance and importance of the study of global climate and implications of global climate change. This course introduces life cycles of stars, formation of stars and galaxies, solid earth, oceans, atmosphere and biochemical cycles. Global climate and differences in various regions are explored and the impact of human consumption on earth and its climate is discussed.
